HOW TO PLAY

The goal is to get rid of all your cards. The last player holding cards is the durak (the fool).

Starting a match

A match has 2 to 6 players. Each player receives 6 cards, and one suit becomes trump. The player with the lowest trump makes the first move. If nobody holds a trump, the first player at the table starts.

Available decks:

  • 24 cards — nine through ace, 2 to 4 players;
  • 36 cards — six through ace, 2 to 6 players;
  • 52 cards — two through ace, 2 to 6 players.

Taking a turn

The attacker plays a card. The defender beats it with a higher card of the same suit or with a trump. A trump can only be beaten by a higher trump.

Players may throw in cards whose rank is already on the table. No more than 6 cards may be played in one round, and the total cannot exceed the number of cards the defender held at the start of that round.

Player cards and the defensive action

During defense, the Take button appears below the player's cards.

Ending a round

If every attacking card is beaten, all cards on the table go to the discard pile. If the defender cannot or does not want to defend, they take all cards from the table.

After the round, players draw back up to 6 cards: attackers draw first and the defender draws last. Once the deck is empty, players who have no cards leave the match. In a two-player match, the game ends automatically after the final attack when the result can no longer change and no violation on the table remains open to a report.
